Terms of use

Shrimp by Color is an independent price index for freshwater aquarium shrimp. We aggregate publicly available listings from third-party sellers and organize them by color so you can compare prices in one place. We are not a store: we don't sell livestock, process orders, or handle shipping. Every purchase happens on the seller's own website, under the seller's own terms.

Information on this site is provided "as is", for comparison and informational purposes only, without warranty of any kind. Prices, grades, stock status, and availability are gathered automatically and may be out of date or differ from what a seller currently offers. Always confirm the current price, availability, and shipping terms on the seller's own page before buying. Color, grade, and care labels are general guidance, not promises about any specific animal. We are not responsible for any transaction, shipment, or livestock health issue arising from a purchase made with a third-party seller.

Privacy policy

We collect as little as possible.

Self-hosted usage stats. The site sends small, anonymous events to our own server (page views, which color filters get used, and which outbound seller links get clicked). No cookies are set for this, no IP addresses are stored, and nothing is shared with third parties. At most we keep the referring site's hostname (e.g. google.com), never full URLs.
Google Analytics. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall traffic. Google may set cookies and process technical data (such as truncated IP and browser information) per Google's privacy policy. We do not use Analytics data for advertising, and we don't run ads.
Email signup. If you subscribe for back-in-stock alerts, we store your email address in a private file on our server, used only to send those alerts. We never sell or share the list. To unsubscribe or have your address deleted, email us (below) and we'll remove it.

We don't run accounts, don't process payments, and don't knowingly collect information from children.

Affiliate & sponsored disclosure

This site may participate in affiliate programs and accept paid placements. When you click certain links or "featured" listings we may earn a commission or fee at no additional cost to you. Sponsored listings are marked as such (e.g. an "Ad" or "Sponsored" badge). Rankings within a card default to cheapest-first; sponsorship never changes a listed price. This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. FTC's endorsement guidelines.

Trademarks & independence. Seller and brand names are the property of their respective owners and are used here only to identify the source of a listing (nominative fair use). Listing a seller does not imply any partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement unless explicitly stated.

Questions, corrections, unsubscribe requests, or seller listing-change / removal requests: email admin@shrimpbycolor.com. Sellers who prefer not to be indexed will be removed promptly.
